SoundHAB: Eyes Over Puget Sound flight reporting on present blooms in the Puget Sound region

Blooms in Puget Sound as of yesterday June 17, 2013


·         Bellingham Bay – Red brown bloom and drifting org material at surface. 2500 feet at about 3:30PM,  (0711.jpg)


·         Central Basin - Second Noctiluca bloom this year in the Main Basin from Everett all the way to Des Moines. 2500 feet at about 4:30PM, (0224.jpg, 0820.jpg)


·         Port Townsend – Red-brown bloom with mm sized cells (could be Noctiluca under water) at about 11:20 AM, (0604.jpg)


We will release a complete EOPS report on Wednesday @ http://ecy.wa.gov/programs/eap/mar_wat/eops/
