SoundHAB: Heterosigma cells in main channels of North Puget Sound

There has been a report of a few Heterosigma cells today occurring in
Bellingham Channel (between Cypress Island and Guemes Island) and slightly
northward from Shaughn Hollcroft, manager of the Cypress Island fish farm
site. These were just a few cells seen and those were in non-quantitative
net tows, so nothing serious yet but it is the first siting of cells in main
channels of North Puget Sound this year.
Tides are relatively large this week but amplitude decreases next week that
may result in increased Heterosigma cell numbers.
