"State of the Waters: Cape Cod" Internship
The Association to Preserve Cape Cod (APCC) seeks a college- or graduate-level intern to assist with our "State of the Waters: Cape Cod" project. This is a seasonal full-time position, May through August, paid hourly and not eligible for benefits.

In 2018, APCC initiated the State of the Waters: Cape Cod to grade water quality of coastal waters, ponds, and drinking water in order to raise public awareness of water quality issues on Cape Cod, to identify opportunities for water quality improvement and restoration, and to promote action to improve water quality through a Water Action Plan. The intern tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  1.  Collection and organization of water quality data for coastal embayments, ponds, and public water supplies;
  2.  Data analysis, scoring and grading of water quality data using established Excel formulas;
  3.  Conducting statistical analyses to summarize results using Excel;
  4.  Collection and analysis of drinking water Consumer Confidence Reports;
  5.  Preparation of data summaries, coordination with APCC's GIS contractor, and participation in team meetings.
  6.  Assist with other projects as needed.
