We do this by partnering with a network of 40+ nonprofits in Massachusetts and Rhode Island focused on community needs related to local land conservation and sustainable agriculture. These partners act as service sites for a new cohort of up to 60 AmeriCorps service members annually. Service members are paired with a site supervisor who provides guidance and mentorship while they learn to manage community programs and projects over an 11-month, 1700-hour service term.



Members serve in one of five coordinator roles focused on:

*         Land Conservation

*         Land Stewardship

*         Sustainable Agriculture

*         Community Engagement

*         Youth Education


TerraCorps members serve in full-time (38 hour/week), 11-month positions from August 26th, 2024- July 25th, 2025. These AmeriCorps positions receive the following benefits:


  *   Stipend of $27,000 distributed over the course of the term
  *   Free access to healthcare coverage
  *   Childcare coverage if eligible
  *   Free mental health services through the Member Assistance Program
  *   Money for college ($7,395), through the Segal Education Award of 47,395 upon completion of the program
  *   Student loan forbearance if the member qualifies
  *   Professional mentoring and coaching
  *   Professional development trainings and workshops
  *   Additional AmeriCorps benefits.
