Documenting Storms and King Tides: A MyCoast App Training
Use your beach walk to collect data! WHOI Sea Grant is sponsoring an online training on Tuesday, June 11, from 1 - 2:30, on how to use the participatory science app "MyCoast" to record coastal change. The webinar is part of Cape Cod Coastal Resilience Week<https://seagrant.whoi.edu/cccrw-2024>.
Led by Rebecca Haney from MA Office of Coastal Zone Management, Documenting Storms and King Tides: A MyCoast App Training is free and open to everyone. MyCoast is a crucial tool for state and local environmental management that relies on members of the public to upload coastal photos, especially after storms and flooding and erosion events. Learn how to contribute your King Tide or storm images using MyCoast and hear how municipal and state officials use the images for decision-making purposes.
