Seabirds are uniquely adapted to life at sea and uniquely vulnerable to its perils. Many spend the majority of their decades-long lives far from shore, flying thousands of miles over open water to find food, returning to land only to mate and raise their young.
Join us virtually, as we learn about these extraordinary animals and talk with scientists working to understand and protect them. Register at https://www.whoi.edu/ocean-encounter/seabirds/.

Speakers: Tammy Silva, Research Ecologist, Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary, NOAA; Carlos Valle, Ph.D. Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, Dean of the College of Biological and Environmental Sciences, Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ, Ecuador; Francesco Ventura, Marine Ecologist, Postdoctoral Scholars at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
WHOI host: Véronique LaCapra, Ocean Encounters' host, Director of Special Projects for Advancement
