The Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) is seeking a Chief Coastal Resilience Officer to lead coastal resilience efforts for the Commonwealth. This new position will be responsible for implementing the policies and programs of CZM as they relate to improving resilience to climate change impacts along the Massachusetts coast. The Chief Coastal Resilience Officer will coordinate the activities of CZM across all program areas as they relate to coastal resilience planning, implementation, funding, and technical assistance, drawing from priorities developed and adopted through the ResilientCoasts Plan and as required by approved CZM coastal policies. This position is also tasked with leading coastal resilience efforts across the offices and agencies of the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) through coordination with key EEA staff implementing ResilientMass, the Commonwealth’s strategy for reducing risk and building resilience to natural hazards and local impacts of climate change statewide.
