JAM MAKING CLASSES IN THE GREEN BRIAR JAM KITCHEN

            Join a jam class in the historic Green Briar Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich and make your own jars of jam to take home and enjoy or give as a gift.  Expert instruction and all ingredients are provided, and participants each end up with 4 to 6 jars of jam.  Two hour classes are scheduled for adults on specific Wednesday evenings at 5:30pm or Saturday mornings at 9:30am:  March 4, pear chutney; March 25, cranberry raspberry jam; March 29, cranberry raspberry jam; April 1, strawberry pineapple jam; April 19, strawberry or strawberry orange jam; April 29, strawberry or strawberry orange jam.

            Family jam classes, which include one adult and one child working together, are scheduled at 1:00pm on the following Saturdays: March 4, apple pear jam; March 25, cranberry raspberry jam; April 1, strawberry pineapple jam; April 29, strawberry or strawberry orange jam.  During the spring school vacation week, a family class is scheduled at 10am on Wednesday, April 19 to make strawberry or strawberry orange jam and on Thursday, April 20 to make blueberry jam.  Children must be at least 6 years old to be in the kitchen.

            The fee per class is $75 members, $85 non-members and includes both adult & child in the family classes.
