The National Science Foundation's Convergence Accelerator Program (NSF CA), born in 2019, funds multidisciplinary teams to solve societal challenges through convergence research and innovation. The WHOI-led Digital Reefs project is the Institution's first CA-funded initiative and pulls together scientists, industry partners, and conservation organizations in a unique collaboration focused on solving the coral reef crisis. You're invited to a short film, followed by conversation and lunch with the Digital Reefs Team, including Siemens Technology Corporation, Stanford, Scripps, and The Nature Conservancy. Come learn about the NSF CA program, the Digital Reefs platform, the people working to make it happen, and whether your work might be ready for a convergence accelerator proposal. The event will take place Friday, October 28 in Redfield Auditorium, 45 Water Street, Woods Hole, Mass., from 12-1:30 p.m. If you are planning to attend, please RSVP (not mandatory) to Ken Kostel <mailto:kkostel at whoi.edu> so we can plan for lunch.
