ANNUAL STRAWBERRY DAY IN THE JAM KITCHEN

Strawberry season has arrived, and Annual Strawberry Day is the perfect time
to visit the historic Green Briar Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich.  On
Saturday, June 25th, fresh strawberries will be served in a homemade dessert
from 11am to 2pm for a $6 fee, along with a demonstration of old-fashioned
jam making as it has been done here for over 100 years.  Browse in the
unique Mercantile offering Green Briar jams along with a variety of
nature-related books and gift items.  View the gallery exhibit on the life
and works of Thornton Burgess, renowned naturalist and author of "Peter
Rabbit" and his animal friends. Stroll the paths of the award-winning
wildflower garden and the grounds around the "Smiling Pool" pond.  Green
Briar is located at 6 Discovery Hill Road, just off Route 6A in East
