 The MME conference features workshops for elementary, middle, and high school teachers. You'll receive tips, activities, data sets, and more resources you can use in your classroom.

Workshop titles include:

  *   Is it Data? Or is it Cake?
  *   Wild Ocean Data: Easily Within Reach
  *   Using Impacts of Noise Pollution on Marine Mammals to Bring Environmental Literacy to Underrepresented Students
  *   Follow that Bird: Tracking Great shearwaters
  *   Climate Science and the Arts: Using Creative Communication for Our Blue Planet
  *   Visualizing Storm Tide Pathways

Field trips to:

  *   WHOI Archives
  *   Moorings, sensors, and data collection tools at WHOI
  *   Nobska Lighthouse tour
  *   WHOI Seafloor Samples Laboratory

Exhibits (just to list a few):

  *   Community Boating Center
  *   Marine Biological Laboratory
  *   Atlantic White Shark Conservancy
  *   Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary
  *   Penikese Island School

But the conference is not just for classroom teachers! MME welcomes informal educators as well. MME is "casting our net" far and wide for new members and conference attendees and we want you!

Early Bird, Regular and Student registrations include the 2022-2023 MME membership and all conference activities.
