[SEMCO] FREE Virtual World Water Day Event (March 22nd)

Hello Fellow Educator,

Join Ocean Protection Advocacy Kids <http://www.opakedu.org/> (OPAK) to see
what lives beneath the waves!

In celebration of World Water Day we will be conducting a virtual water
quality test and plankton tow at 2pm EST on Monday, March 22nd via Zoom.
This FREE participatory event is intended for students in grades 4-8 and
will be approximately 40 minutes with time for questions at the end!

We ask that you pre-register your class by visiting www.opakedu.org/events

By the end of this event students will be able to:
-Define Plankton
-ID Common Plankton
-Define Water Quality
-Name Common Water Quality Parameters

In addition, students will learn how they can become water quality
ambassadors in their community through EarthEcho International’s Water
Challenge <https://www.monitorwater.org/>.
