Wednesday, December 15, 7 pm Please join us for the next virtual Science Café, hosted by the Northeastern University Marine Science Center, MassBays, and the Boston Harbor Ecosystem Network! This month, we feature three speakers working in a variety of aquatic ecosystems, with the shared goal of improving long-term resiliency and sustainability of ecosystem functions and services. Dr. Chris Nadeau, a David H. Smith Postdoctoral Research Fellow at NUMSC, will describe his collaborative research exploring how genetic management may inform restoration efforts and promote climate change adaptation in multiple systems. Max Rome, a PhD student in Environmental Engineering at Northeastern Uuniversity, will describe the Charles River Floating Wetland Project, an ongoing collaboration between the Charles River Conservancy and Northeastern's College of Engineering. The Emerald Tutu Team will describe a multidisciplinary effort exploring the implementation of a network of interconnected floating salt marshes in Boston Harbor to enhance coastal climate resilience.
