This conference will have brief sessions on several days to help spread the
knowledge and make it easier for people to join. Presentations and
discussions will revolve around *increasing diversity in marine education.*

Fall Conference dates and topics

·       Saturday October 3 from 9:00 – 11:15 AM

·       Kwanza Johnson will share ideas and experiences in identifying and
removing barriers to broad participation

·       Elizabeth James-Perry will share her perspective combining
Algonquian culture, traditions beliefs, and science

·       Monday October 5 from 7:00 – 7:30 PM - Sierra Munoz presents about
Beach Sisters, a program for school-aged girls from under-served communities

·       Wednesday, October 7 from 7:00 – 7:30 PM - Grace Simpkins presents
about Girls in Science fellowship at Woods Hole.

·       Thursday October 8 from 7:00 – 7:30 PM- Joan Muller and Barbara
Spiecker present on a coastal studies program for deaf students sponsored
by the National Estuarine Research Reserves in New England.
