[SEMCO] Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary Open TerraCorps Position for 20-21 Service Year

TerraCorps, an AmeriCorps affiliated environmental nonprofit, has selected the Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon to be a Service Site for the 2020-21 TerraCorps program year. This partnership will allow the Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon to host one Land Stewardship/ Community Engagement Coordinator in full-time 11-month service positions from August 2020 to July 2021.

As part of TerraCorps, Members will spend their service term supporting the local community by developing partnerships, leading programming, and engaging with volunteers. Wareham Land Trust and Mass Audubon’s Member will focus on: 1). Enhance the visitor experience at a number of Wareham properties by coordinating trail improvements and construction projects, and/or developing interpretive materials. 2). Engage the Wareham community through innovative environmental programming and on-the-ground volunteer recruitment that builds new and long-lasting relationships with individuals and partner organizations. Members will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience serving with local nonprofits and will receive professional development training and mentorship. As part of TerraCorps, Members will also receive a living allowance, and will be eligible for healthcare coverage, childcare coverage, loan forbearance, and an education award.
