[SEMCO] Woods Hole Black History Month 2020

Hello!

The Woods Hole DAC and Black History Month Committee are excited to 
share with you the Woods Hole Black History Month events for this year! 
As always, we are following the National Theme, and this year it is 
"African Americans and the Vote". *We encourage you to register for the 
events on our website

be reminded of upcoming events and be informed of any weather related 
changes. *We have planned:


Feb 7 at 7PM at Falmouth Academy:

*Film screening of 'Selma'*co-sponsored with Falmouth Academy. Doors 
open at 6:30 PM, refreshments provided, 8 Cousins Book table.

Feb 18 at noon__in Speck Auditorium:

*"**Hoodwinked, Bamboozled, and Led Astray by Romanticizing the Dream"*  
a talk by Rev. W. (Will) H. Mebane, Jr.

Feb 24 at noon in Redfield Auditorium:

*"The Cost of the Vote" *a talk by Dr. Daniel Black

Feb 27 at 5:30 PM on the WHOI Quissett Campus in Clark 507 :

*Harambee*! An ethnic feast celebrating everyone of every race! Music by 
DJ Lionel Hall of All Cape Sounds. An interactive drumming performance 
by Cape Cod African Dance and Drum. Reading of winning essays of the 
[pilot project] essay competition. Zion Union Heritage Museum mobile 
exhibit. Please note this is a new location this year and there are more 
activities! Guests are welcome to bring a potluck dessert to share!
