Cape Cod Community College's Center for Corporate and Professional Education
is conducting a free two-session "Offshore Wind 101" course next week in
Hyannis Center. Open seats are available; registration is required. Details
below.

This two-session course introduces the newest growth sector in the U.S.
energy industry, starting here with Vineyard Windthe nation¹s first
large-scale offshore wind project. The initial session provides expert
perspective on technology basics, global trends, why Cape Wind failed, and
how a new generation of local projects will succeed. The second, which
focuses on career opportunities and other benefits to be created as offshore
wind projects move forward in southeastern Massachusetts and beyond, will
also feature a guest speaker offering an inside look from an
industry-leading company.
Intended audience: Students; workers in marine, construction, welding, and
other trades; business and manufacturing professionals; and entrepreneurs
looking to ride the wave.
