[SEMCO] Educator Workshop - October 29 - Carbon Cycling in Coastal Wetlands

Please join Woods Hole Sea Grant, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
and the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve for a Teacher
Professional Development Opportunity on October 29th, 9am-4pm at WBNERR.

Topics covered include:  why salt marshes are important, how they form, how
sea level rise affects them, the role salt marshes play in the climate and
how salt marshes and blue carbon are part of the carbon market.

You will also try out some of the activites from the "Bringing Wetlands to
Market" curriculum as well as visit the salt marsh!  Then take home PDPs as
well as copies of relevant background and the curriculum.
