CELEBRATING TOGETHERNESS
As you join with friends and family for Thanksgiving, here’s a story of
togetherness from the ocean. The anemonefish and sea anemone (pictured above)
have a classic symbiotic relationship, with each benefiting from the other. The
anemone’s tentacles protect the fish from predators while the anemonefish chases
away butterflyfish that would eat the anemone.

Today, we are especially grateful to you for your support of WHOI. Together, we
are making an impact for the ocean.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours from everyone at Woods Hole Oceanographic
Institution.
