Calling all STEM educators, professionals, organizations, parents and students!

You are invited to participate in and plan Cape & Islands STEM Week October 21-25, 2019

Join us for our 2019 STEM Week planning meeting!

The goal of this meeting is to share ideas, inspiration, and resources, and to find common ground with others in our community interested in planning STEM Week events across the Cape & Islands.

Massachusetts Secretary of Education James Peyser announced recently:

"Given the excitement generated by last year’s STEM Week, we’re pleased to announce that we are doing it again: STEM Week 2019 will be held from October 21–25. The theme for STEM Week this year is “See Yourself in STEM”, highlighting the diversity of identities that play a role in STEM fields as well as the diversity and breadth of the sectors and occupations that require STEM skills and the opportunities that follow. Our goal is to encourage more students to see themselves engaged in STEM fields, and to understand the multitude of opportunities open to them in all industries and in every corner of the Commonwealth."

We will meet on the 4Cs campus in the Lorusso Technology building in the 2nd floor Solarium for brainstorming and planning around how we as a community can highlight the amazing STEM that is already happening in our schools, organizations, and companies right here on the Cape & Islands.

We will have tables set up around STEM Week events with themes of:
* Diversity in the STEM Workplace
* Women & Girls in STEM
* Engaging families in STEM
* Our Blue Economy
* And more!

Food and refreshments will be served and free parking is available in lots 9 and 10. Everyone is welcome. Stop by for as long as you can. PLEASE SHARE this email to help spread the word, and RSVP by May 14.
