[SEMCO] Seeking superheroes for ocean outreach

*Calling all ocean-loving superheroes, mutants, cartoons, and adventurers!*

Ocean Learning Lab and Immersive Experiences (O.L.L.I.E.), a secretive
international organization connecting the public with the dynamic and
beautiful ocean world, is taking our flagship *virtual submarine* and
*augmented
reality sandbox* on a mission to the *Boston ComiCon* on August 16, 17, and
18.

We are seeking *bold, suave, and intelligent agents* to volunteer for this
mission, which includes a full-access pass to ComiCon on the day(s)
volunteered!

Desired skills include:
- Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn current ocean topics such as
sea level rise, ocean acidification, and marine pollution (Training is
available for those who need to get up to speed)
- Able to talk to strangers in funny costumes
- Comfortable using computers and touchscreen-based technology
- Ability to escape handcuffs,
- Ability to say “I don’t know but I can find out”
- Ability to stay calm under pressure

Preferred but not required qualifications include
- Undergraduate or graduate-level training in ocean science or related
fields
- Experience in outreach or education
- Superhuman strength
- Ability to breathe underwater
- Ability to shoot lasers out of your eyeballs.

We need volunteers for four-hour shifts (you're welcome to work more than
one)
*Friday, August 16th   1:45-5:45 PM   &   5:15 - 9:15 PM*
*Saturday, August 17th   9:45AM - 1:45PM   &   2PM - 6PM*
*Sunday, August 18th   9:45AM - 1:45PM   &   1:30PM - 5:30 PM*

Volunteers will be working alone and in pairs, and will have regular
opportunities for breaks. *When you're not working, you'll have a
full-access pass, and are welcome to explore all that ComiCon has to offer!*
