ANNUAL BLUEBERRY DAY IN THE JAM KITCHEN

 

The 17th Annual Blueberry Day takes place at the Green Briar Nature Center
and Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich on Saturday, August 3 from 11am to 4pm
during the height of the blueberry season -  a perfect time to visit this
unique spot on Cape Cod.  Come by and enjoy a blueberry dessert for a $5
donation along with a demonstration of old-fashioned blueberry jam making in
the historic Jam Kitchen.  Sample jam tastings in the Mercantile (shop);
view the exhibits in the Thornton Burgess gallery; visit the nature center's
resident animals; browse among the used book sale; look for the Queen Bee in
the indoor bee hive; and stroll the paths of the wildflower garden and
grounds around the Smiling Pool pond.   Green Briar is located at 6
Discovery Hill Road, just off Route 6A in East Sandwich.  For further
