Educators, scientists, graduate students, post-docs, marine industry
experts and others working in the field of marine science are invited to
share their knowledge and expertise at the *43rd Annual MME Meeting &
Conference*

Oceanographic Institution in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. The conference
includes keynote presentations, afternoon workshops, and time to network
with fellow educators. The theme for the 2019 conference is *Life in the
Extreme*.



Sessions are 75 minutes long. Interactive presentations including hands-on
activities, discussion, or data exploration are encouraged. Attendees are
often interested in materials that they can bring back to their classroom
or other educational setting.

*More about our theme*: The ocean hosts a diversity of life, featuring
incredible adaptations that allow organisms to survive in even the most
extreme ecosystems. Whether at the scalding waters of hydrothermal vents,
the frigid brine channels in sea ice, the pounding waves of the rocky
shore, or rapid deviations brought on by climate change, we can learn so
much from studying how marine life has adapted to thrive (or not) in these
conditions
