FREE 2019 Winter Education and Film Series

Please join Senior Corps RSVP of Cape Cod & the Islands during these environmental education events open to the public. Films will be held at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, and presentations will be held at various locations. Please see event descriptions for more details regarding dates, times and topics. Description: Plastics litter our land and oceans causing alarming devastation to marine life. Single use plastic straws are small, yet are one of the top 10 items collected during beach cleanups. CARE for the Cape & Islands helps educate the public about the impact of plastic waste and offers simple changes we can all make to reduce our plastic pollution.

Description: We see different butterflies and bees at our plants every year, playing an important role in the pollination of our food and flowers. Learn about the diversity of butterflies found on Cape Cod, their relationship with plants, and how to attract pollinators to your backyard.

Description: Chris Jordan and his team travel to Midway Island in the North Pacific Ocean to unveil the devastation of plastic waste. A deeply emotional film that focuses on birth, life and death of the poetically magnificent albatross, native to this island. Ages 12+ due to mature content.
