Join us for a symposium<https://mbl.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9cefa84d03e46926e3394b4d2&id=35bd59df1b&e=cc1a53fb05> featuring the research results of students who have spent the fall semester participating in the Marine Biological Laboratory’s Semester in Environmental Science<https://mbl.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9cefa84d03e46926e3394b4d2&id=69100bec4c&e=cc1a53fb05> (SES) program. Attendees are welcome to drop in at any time throughout the symposium, and are encouraged to stay for the duration of the event.

The symposium will feature short presentations covering research conducted at local field sites.  Topics range from habitat selection in birds across fragmented landscapes, to comparing micro plastic concentrations in salt marshes with increases in human population density.

The 15-week SES program, sponsored by the MBL’s Ecosystems Center<https://mbl.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=9cefa84d03e46926e3394b4d2&id=2e47a6fdd2&e=cc1a53fb05> is designed to immerse undergraduate science students in an intensive semester of hands-on ecological science using a curriculum that approaches environmental science from an ecosystems perspective.
