SUMMER ADVENTURE FOR CHILDREN AT GREEN BRIAR NATURE CENTER

 

The Green Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich offers nature programs for
ages 4 to 10, encouraging learning and appreciation of the environment
through age-appropriate, STEAM based curriculum and indoor/outdoor
activities led by educators/naturalists.  During the month of July, week
long programs for ages 4, 5 & 6 as "Eco Explorers" and for ages 7, 8, 9 & 10
as "Nature Detectives" are held.  Eco Explorers incorporates activities
geared to this age level which foster a love of the natural world through
adventures and explorations.  Through games, stories, creative projects,
experiments and lots of outdoor exploration, the children are introduced to
the science of nature.  Nature Detectives focus on activities designed to
build strong foundations using STEAM as a vehicle to extensive, interactive
investigations, indoors and out.  Classes meet Monday through Friday from
9am to noon.  The cost is $200 per week, and registration must be made for
the entire week.  Space is limited to 12 per class.    Each week is diverse
enough to engage the child who comes multiple weeks.  A complete description
