Conservation of the Lined Seahorse

New England Aquarium Aquarist, David Wedge

BREWSTER, MA — The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster presents their popular series Lunch & Learn. On Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:30am we present Conservation of the Lined Seahorse with New England Aquarium Aquarist, David Wedge.
David will talk about the natural history and current conservation efforts of the Lined Seahorse Hippocampus erectus.

David was an Aquarist for the New England Aquarium’s Edge of the Sea exhibit for 10 years which included his work caring for and breeding of the aquariums Lined seahorse population.  Dave also has expertise in culturing jellies, transporting animals up and down the east coast, and SCUBA diving in New England waters.  Over the last three years Dave has been the 4pm-midnight Mechanical Systems Operator for the Aquariums large exhibits of Seals, Penguins and the Caribbean Giant Ocean Tank. Dave is also responsible for monitoring all other operations and life support systems of the entire building throughout the night.
