joke! In conjunction with this, the Early Bird Registration deadline for
the 2018 Ocean Literacy Summit has been extended! *Register*

On November 15 & 16, 2018, the New England Ocean Science Education
Collaborative (NEOSEC) will host its *seventh biennial Ocean Literacy

MA. This year's theme,* Ocean Literacy Principle #2
<http://oceanliteracy.wp2.coexploration.org/ocean-literacy-framework/principle-2-v2/>*,
“The ocean and life in the ocean shape the features of the Earth,” will
allow us to focus on how changes in our ocean are affecting our region.

This year, in addition to a *keynote*, *facilitated panel*, and
*co-presentations*, a *trivia hour* and *ocean-themed art show* have been
added to the agenda to increase opportunities for learning and conversation
in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. As in previous Summits, *workshops*, *field
trips*, *lightning talks*, and a *hands-on science and education fair* will
also be offered.
