The Northeastern University Marine Science Cente<https://cos.northeastern.edu/marinescience/>r is hiring a full-time, Outreach Program Instructor.



Under the direction of the Outreach Program Coordinator, the Outreach Program Instructor is responsible for developing and implementing meaningful and effective programs to develop ocean literacy in youth, and to foster their interest in and awareness about the study of marine science and related careers. It will also facilitate the professional development of educators around marine- and STEM-related knowledge and skills. Utilizing the University’s teaching, research, seawater, and natural resources, the Instructor delivers hands-on, standards-based academic experiences to PreK-12 youth in the field and in the classroom, both onsite and offsite. The Instructor also participates actively in the delivery of events for the general public that connect local communities to the work being done at the MSC. The Outreach Instructor will also assist with marketing and communications for the Center, including developing content for news stories and promotional materials.
