NATURE CLUB EXPLORES WILDFLOWERS
The monthly in-depth natural history course for adults offered by the
Thornton W. Burgess Society continues on the first Saturday of each month
from 9am to noon. "Wildflowers" are the topic on June 2 with a focus on the
award-winning Wildflower Garden at the Green Briar Nature Center in East
Sandwich. Garden Manager Janice Dill shares her extensive knowledge and
enthusiasm for what nature and wildflowers have waiting for you.
Following months include the Butterflies at the Butterfly House and
Pollinator Path at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster on
July 7; Beach Walk exploring the tide pools at Town Neck Beach on August 4;
Birding at the East Sandwich Game Farm on September 8; Wild Food focusing on
foraging basics on October 6; Insects in Winter on November 3; Migrant
Winter Birds on December 1. These programs are open to adults and teens ages
16 and up. Register separately for each month at $30. Call 508-888-6870.
