APRIL SCHOOL VACATION JAM MAKING AT GREEN BRIAR

Here is something special for an adult and child to do together during the
April school vacation!  Come and learn to make jam together in the historic
Green Briar Jam Kitchen in East Sandwich.  On Wednesday, April 18 from 10am
to noon, you may make 4 to 6 jars of blueberry lime jam or blueberry jam to
take home and enjoy.  On Thursday, April 19 from 10am to noon, make
strawberry orange jam or strawberry jam.  All materials and instruction are
provided.  Children must be at least 6 years old.  The fee per workshop is
$35 for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $45 for non-members and
includes one adult and one child.   Paid advance registration is required by
calling 508-888-6870.  Additional jam workshops for both adults and families
are scheduled on certain Wednesday evenings and on Saturdays.  For complete

JAM MAKING CLASSES IN APRIL

The popular jam making classes continue in the historic Green Briar Jam
Kitchen in East Sandwich. Join in the fun making your own jars of something
special to take home and enjoy or give as a gift.  Expert instruction and
all materials are provided to make 4 to 6 jars of product. Wednesday classes
for adults meet from 6pm to 8pm.   On Wednesday evening, April 4 make
cranberry hot pepper relish and on April 25 make strawberry rhubarb jam.
Saturday classes for adults meet from 9:30am to 11:30am.  On Saturday, April
7 adults make cranberry hot pepper relish and on April 28 make strawberry
rhubarb jam.  On April 7 from 1pm to 3pm an adult and child working together
make cranberry apple jam and on April 28 make strawberry rhubarb jam.
Children must be at least 6 years old to work in the kitchen. The fee per
workshop is $35 for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $45 for
non-members.  The fee includes one adult and one child in the family
classes.  Paid advance registration is required by calling 508-888-6870.
