BUG HOTELS - CRAFTY FUN FOR FAMILIES
"Bug Hotels" is a nature-related program for families with children ages 5
and up offered on a number of Wednesdays during the summer at the Green
Briar Nature Center in East Sandwich. On June 27 from 11:00am to 12:30pm,
learn how insects in the yard and garden need our help, especially in colder
months and why they are beneficial in nature. Get crafty with a walk on the
grounds collecting materials that buggies go bonkers over. Bring an empty
cereal box for your bug "hotel." The fee per person is $3 for members of
the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $5 non-members. Call 508-888-6870 to
register. Additional dates for this program are July 11, July 25, August 15
and August 22.

basic skills to identify birds through sight and sound. Then venture
outdoors to view birds in their natural habitat. The fee per person is $4
for members of the Thornton W. Burgess Society, $6 non-members. Call
