UPPER CAPE BIRDING EXCURSION

The Thornton W. Burgess Society is pleased to offer a "Winter Waterfowl
Birding Excursion" with Cape naturalist and field leader John Hanlon to a
variety of habitats on the Upper Cape. Travel via passenger van to local
beaches and ponds for winter waterfowl and other winter residents and
migrants.  All levels are welcome including beginners looking to develop
their birding skills and others wishing to improve their ID sound and sight
skills.  John has worked for the National Park Service on Cape Cod and at
Yellowstone, the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History and as a Coastal
Shorebird monitor for the Massachusetts Audubon Society.  This trip is
scheduled for Saturday, December 16th.  Meet at the Green Briar Nature
Center in East Sandwich to depart at 8:00am and return by 11:00am.  Dress
for the weather and be prepared to walk along a sandy beach and paths. Bring
binoculars or borrow a pair with advance notice.   The fee, which includes
transportation, is $12 for Burgess Society members and $16 non-members.

order to receive a refund, you must notify us of your cancellation at least
10 days prior to the program. We reserve the right to cancel programs due to
low enrollment or unfavorable weather, in which case you will receive a full
refund.
