Presents
  Hour of Code for Kids Ages 7-10
  BREWSTER, MA ­ The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster, as part of their STEAM 
initiative, presents Hour of Code, a technology 
opportunity for kids ages 7-10, with Kristen Hilley.
Tuesdays, June 27-August 8th (except July 4th) 
12:30pm -1:30pm, Specific dates below.


   The “Hour of Code” started as a one-hour 
introduction to computer science, designed to 
demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn 
the basics, and to broaden participation in the 
field of computer science. It has since become a 
worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, 
starting with 1-hour coding activities but 
expanding to all sorts of community efforts.

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will 
participate this summer, providing one hour 
coding classes for students ages 7-10 taught by 
Kristen Hilley of C4.net. Come learn and have fun 
with students working together in pairs on 
interactive game-based coding tutorials. Tutorial 
themes include Star Wars, Minecraft, Angry Birds, 
Moana and Disney’s “Frozen”. The class goal is to 
help students nurture problem solving skills, logic and creativity.

Kristen Hilley is a Technical Information 
Specialist with 20+ years of computer experience 
in a variety of creative, supportive and 
educational roles helping to educate others on 
new technologies. She is currently Technical 
Director at c4.net Internet Services in Harwich.
