I am forwarding below the details of a Public Information Meeting on Offshore Wind.  Please share this information with everyone in your region and organization who may be interested in attending.



Public Information Meeting on Offshore Wind

On Tuesday May 16, the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, Office of Coastal Zone Management, and the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center will host a public informational meeting to provide updates on the offshore wind development process in the federal offshore wind planning areas off Massachusetts and the emerging offshore wind industry in the Commonwealth.  Representatives from the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the offshore wind developers will attend. The meeting will be held:

Tuesday, May 16, 2017
Holiday Inn Cape Cod – Falmouth
291 Jones Road, Falmouth, MA
5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The meeting features presentations and question/answer sessions on the schedule related to offshore wind procurement by utilities, environmental surveys, wind data collection, transmission, and supply chain efforts.  Federal officials from BOEM will provide updates on the permitting and leasing process.  Offshore wind developers will provide project specific updates.
