Join us at Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday, May 12 at 10 AM-Noon for the following:

Life in the Salt Marsh

Though they may appear like little more than fields of grass, salt marshes are one of the most biologically-productive ecosystems on Earth. On this walk we will discuss the unique adaptations of salt marsh plants and animals as we explore sanctuary trails. We'll then wade in to discover the rich diversity of life beneath the water's surface as we observe the inhabitants of and visitors to these nurseries of the ocean.

This program involves wading in water up to the knees. Wear shoes you don't mind getting wet or rain boots.

Cost is $10 for Mass Audubon Members and $12 for non-members. Pre-registration is required; call 508-349-2615 or visit http://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/program-catalog#program:sanctuary=20:program_code=52620 to register.
