  2017 Opening of the Butterfly House & Pollinator Path

BREWSTER, MA ­  The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster announces the 
2017   Butterfly House & Pollinator Path, open 
daily Thursday, June 1st through Sunday, September 3, 2017  9:30am – 4pm.

   Butterflies are among the most beautiful 
insects in the world.  Our new Butterfly House 
will give our visitors the chance to see 
butterflies “up close and personal.”  As you 
approach the Butterfly House you will walk 
through a beautiful Pollinator Path filled with 
plants such as Orange Butterfly Weed (providing a 
place for butterflies to lay their eggs), Yarrow, 
Purple Coneflower and many more varieties that 
attract our pollinators and provide them with 
nectar. Then, inside the Butterfly House you will 
see Monarch and Painted Lady butterflies flying 
about and watch caterpillars go through the 
different stages of a butterfly cycle.  You may 
be there at the moment a butterfly emerges from 
its chrysalis to join other butterflies in flight 
throughout the Butterfly House.  Thanks to The 
Simon Foundation, Crocker Nurseries, and our 
volunteers and staff involved in making this possible!

  Guests will be able to feed a butterfly by 
holding a small sponge brush with juice on it and 
watch the butterfly up close as it drinks from 
the sponge!  What a great photo opportunity!

  *FEEDING TIMES:
   MONDAY – FRIDAY: 10am, 12pm and 2pm,
  SATURDAY & SUNDAY: 10am, 11:30am and 1pm.

Butterfly Feeding is a $6.00 fee and Reservations 
are required. Call early Space limited

The Butterfly House is Free with Museum Admission
