[SEMCO] Solutions for Healthy Waters conference on 3/16

Watershed Action Alliance of Southeastern Massachusetts presents *Solutions
for Healthy Waters* <http://watershedaction.org/index.php/2017-conference>, a
one-day conference to be held on March 16th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at
the historic Needles Lodge at Camp Kiwanee in Hanson, MA overlooking
beautiful Maquan Pond.



This conference will help you better appreciate and understand our area’s
water resources and teach you ways of educating other about and caring for
our ponds, streams, and estuaries. Cost is $20 for the full day; student
and low-income tickets are available. For more information and to register,

There will be expert speakers on:

1) Invasive Plants: Prevention and Control,

2) Communication for Healthy Watersheds, and

3) Drought and Flood Resilience for People and Wildlife.

4) Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and how it can negatively impact ponds



There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions and an exhibit
hall. Lunch can be pre-purchased if ordered by 3/2. Register now for a day
