Celebrate Arbor Day!
In Praise of Noble and Award Winning Trees
with renowned arborist Jim Gorman
Friday, April 28th, 2PM
Eldredge Public Library, 564 Main St, Chatham
Free lecture!
- sponsored by Chatham Friends of Trees
Trees are a testament to the persistence of nature. Most cultures have
expressed reverence for trees, at least for certain trees. Trees can teach
humility, especially aged noble individuals like giant sequoias, coastal
redwoods, and bristle-cone pines. In celebration of Arbor Day, join Chatham
Friends of Trees for an illustrated talk about these monarchs, other
champion size species, as well as outstanding ornamental trees that we might
include in our own landscapes. Jim Gorman has been teaching Plant Science
classes at Boston Architectural College since 2006. As a botanist, he shares
his passion for trees, shrubs, and perennials.
