Shipwrecks of Cape Cod
with
  Writer & Filmmaker
Don Wilding


BREWSTER, MA ­ The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster presents Shipwrecks of Cape 
Cod with writer, filmmaker, Don Wilding Sunday, November 13, 2016 at 1pm.

In his new presentation of the great shipwrecks 
and rescues of the outer beaches of Cape Cod, Don 
will cover the earliest days of the U.S. 
Lifesaving Service (1872) to the early years of 
the U.S. Coast Guard in the first half of the 
20th century. He will look at the wrecks of the 
Castagna, the Francis, the Montclair, the Jason, 
the Portland, and many more. Don is presently 
working on this subject for a book.

Don Wilding is one of Cape Cod Magazine’s “12 
Local People to Watch in 2015”. He has been an 
award-winning lifestyle, arts and entertainment, 
and sports writer and editor for newspapers on 
Cape Cod and in southeastern Massachusetts for 30 
years and currently is a columnist for The Cape 
Codder. He is a co-founder of the nonprofit Henry 
Beston Society of Cape Cod, author of the book, 
"Henry Beston's Cape Cod," and producer for the 
upcoming feature-length documentary film based on 
his book.  Don has been a public speaker on Cape 
Cod subjects for 15 years. Join us for what is sure to be a great presentation!
