COUNTRY CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE AT GREEN BRIAR

The Green Briar Nature Center and Jam Kitchen is ready for the holidays and
invites all to come by its "Country Christmas Open House"  during the four
weekends leading up to Christmas.  Open House begins on November 26th and
continues each Saturday and Sunday through December 18th.  Taste a sampling
of Jam Kitchen products and enjoy a cup of mulled cider while browsing among
a variety of great gift ideas in the shop.  Jams and jellies are still made
here in the historic kitchen as they have been since 1903, true Cape Cod
products!  The shop also offers many nature-related books, games, toys,
jewelry, kitchen items, hand crafts by our volunteers,  and much more.  Mail
order is available for those long distance relatives and friends.  All
proceeds help to support the educational programs of the Thornton W. Burgess
Society and its Green Briar Nature Center.

 

Each Saturday morning families may enjoy a Live Animal Story Time at
10:30am.  Admission to Story Time is free to Society members, $2 per person
non-members.  Green Briar is located at 6 Discovery Hill Road, just off
Route 6A in East Sandwich.  Hours are Monday-Saturday from 10am to 4pm;
