[SEMCO] Building Stronger and Safer Workshop

It seems we can't quite get away from riveting stories of how some communities here in our home State or elsewhere, have been rocked by storms which have wreaked havoc on homes and shorelines.  As the start of hurricane season approaches we are reminded that coastal storms are a feature here in Massachusetts and on Cape Cod.  To become more resilient and protect property and valuable natural resources we are going to have to learn how to build stronger, smarter and safer in the coastal zone.  Doing this requires learning from past experiences and becoming more informed about flood hazard areas, floodplain management, federal, state and local regulations, wise construction and retrofitting practices and available planning resources. Please join us on June 1 to address these important topics.
