"Practicing Marine Science: Models for the Classroom"

When: Saturday, 9 April 2016 from 8:30am to 3:30pm
Where: Clark Building on the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Quissett Campus (360 Woods Hole Rd, Woods Hole, MA).
Morning Keynotes -

Afternoon Workshops -
Choose two afternoon workshops from a suite of options designed to help you implement the newly adopted Massachusetts Science, Technology, and Engineering Standards, and the Science Engineering Design Practices, with a particular focus on using modeling and data in the classroom.

How Scientists Predict and Study Coral Bleaching Grade Level: 9-12
Creating Engaging and Inspiring Climate Activities Amongst the Doom and Gloom Grade Level: 3-8
Bringing Plastic Marine Debris into the Classroom Grade Level: 5-12
Navigating on Nobska Beach Grade level: 9-12
Where's that dolphin and who is it hanging out with? Using marine mammal research to teach math and geography Grade level: k-12
