Register now for this popular, family-oriented star gazing program with astronomy teacher Josh Roth. In New England, blossoming trees and chirping warblers join the Big Dipper and Leo the Lion to chase away the snows of winter. Jupiter will join the party, blazing all night from the southern sky. Using a mixture of slides, hands-on activities, and outdoor stargazing, Josh Roth will unlock the secrets of the night sky. Please dress warmly, in layers, and bring binoculars if you own them.

The American Woodcock struts, spirals into the sky, hovers whirring and twittering, then zigzags down to where he started and begins again. Hopefully, the wild gyrations of this odd-looking shorebird will impress the female judges. Come watch the reclusive woodcock make a spectacle of himself during his twilight courtship dance at Long Pasture. We will begin with a brief slideshow and then walk out to the field for this special, live performance.
