Mass Audubon is one of the oldest and most respected conservation organizations in New England, and its nearly 100 wildlife sanctuaries serve 100,000 members and 500,000 visitors annually.  The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary reaches 45,000+ people annually through the nature center and trails, natural history programs for the public, local schools, and summer day camp, and volunteer opportunities.  With an annual operating budget of $1.5 million, the Sanctuary is a leader in protection of iconic, endangered, threatened, threatened, or at risk Cape Cod species and habitats.

The Development Officer has an exciting opportunity to advance Wellfleet Bay's conservation and education programs through special events fundraising including Wild, Wild Wellfleet, the Sanctuary's signature fundraising event that raises over $170,000 each summer, cultivating and stewarding leadership donors and prospects, and special initiatives and campaigns.  The position reports to the Development Director for Wellfleet Bay and Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuaries.
