Announcement of our Ocean Science and Technology Class Field Trip Opportunity in Woods Hole

We are pleased to announce that once again we will host class field trips in Woods Hole during which students go out on a hands-on scientific cruise on Vineyard Sound and tour some of the laboratory facilities in Woods Hole. Since 2010 over 8000 middle, high school and college students have participated in this program. We particularly emphasize engineering technology used in oceanographic research, career paths, and some of the research projects currently underway here. See our website www.zephyrmarine.org 

Major Field Trip Components:
	Hands-on Scientific Oceanographic/Marine Biological Cruise on Vineyard Sound
	Session in one of the laboratories' live specimen labs
	Session with the Interactive Coastal Processes Modeling System (see below)
        Session with the plankton microscope
	Optional Ocean Scientist Program
	Optional Salt Marsh walk
	Opportunity to visit other facilities in Woods Hole
