Presents the
Great White Shark Research Update
with
Dr. Greg Skomal


BREWSTER, MA ­The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster, MA will be hosting Dr. Greg 
Skomal of the Massachusetts Shark Research 
Program on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 6:30 pm.

Dr. Skomal is in year 3 of a 5 year first of its 
kind population study of great white sharks in 
the Western North Atlantic. Over the last 2 years 
169 great white sharks have been identified and 
he will be presenting his latest findings from 
this season’s exciting encounters.

Dr. Skomal is an accomplished marine biologist, 
charismatic speaker and senior fisheries 
biologist with Massachusetts Marine Fisheries 
since 1987. He currently heads up the 
Massachusetts Shark Research Program as well as 
directing the scientific research on Great White 
Sharks off the coast of Cape Cod for the last 6 years.


This presentation will be held at the Museum on 
Tuesday, September 27th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. 
Doors will open for wine and cheese at 6 pm.

The presentation is $25 per person. All proceeds 
will benefit Dr. Skomal’s research via the 
Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and the Cape Cod 
Museum of Natural History’s education programs.
