For those interested in becoming a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM®), the CFM exam will be offered on June 8, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. in the Harborview conference room at the Barnstable County complex, located at 3195 Main Street in Barnstable, MA. You must sign up with the Association of State Floodplain Managers (ASFPM) by May 25; see below for more details.
Please RSVP to Shannon Jarbeau at the Cape Cod Cooperative Extension (Shannon.jarbeau at barnstablecounty.org <mailto:Shannon.jarbeau at barnstablecounty.org> or 508-375-6952) before you register with ASFPM to ensure there is enough room.
Remember, if you work for a municipality, the town can earn credit in the Community Rating System for up to 5 CFMs on staff.
From ASFPM:
In order to take the CFM exam, you must complete and submit the CFM Program Application Package <http://floods.org/index.asp?menuid=405&firstlevelmenuid=180&siteid=1> to the ASFPM.
