Development Officer
Full Time
Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
South Wellfleet, MA
Mass Audubon is one of the oldest and most respected conservation organizations in Massachusetts,
and its nearly 100 wildlife sanctuaries serve 100,000 members and 500,000 visitors annually.
The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary reaches more than 45,000 people annually as visitors
to the Nature Center, participants in our natural history programs, volunteers, Outer Cape
students in the local schools, and summer day campers. The Sanctuary protects rare and
iconic Cape Cod habitats, and conducts conservation science research on threatened,
endangered, and at risk species, including sea turtles, diamondback terrapins, coastal
waterbirds, and Atlantic horseshoe crabs.
The Development Officer has an exciting opportunity to advance one of Mass Audubon's
most successful sanctuaries to the next level through special events fundraising, a portfolio
of leadership annual fund and major gift donors and prospects, and special initiatives and
project-based campaigns.
The position reports to the Development Director for Wellfleet Bay and Long Pasture
Wildlife Sanctuaries, works closely with Wellfleet Bay staff, and is part of a team of
Mass Audubon philanthropy professionals across the state.
