The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History presents
Dr. Jeffrey Donnelly of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
A Perfect Storm: The collision of hurricanes, 
climate change, and coastal communities.



BREWSTER, MA ­The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster presents Dr. Jeffrey 
Donnelly, tenured Associate Scientist at the 
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in the 
Geology and Geophysics Department Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 1pm

  Climate change is causing sea levels to rise 
and our risk of damage from storms to increase. 
The overarching goal of Dr. Donnelly’s research 
program is to understand how climate variability 
changes tropical cyclone activity, alters sea 
levels, and affects water availability. In 
addition, he seeks to understand the impact of 
changing climate on terrestrial and coastal 
landforms and ecosystems. Dr. Donnelly will 
discuss hurricanes that have impacted the region 
and the implications for current and future risk to coastal communities.

Dr. Donnelly has an undergraduate degree in Earth 
Science from the University of Massachusetts, a 
master’s degree focused on coastal and watershed 
systems from Yale University, and a Ph.D. in 
Geological Sciences from Brown University.


The presentation will be held at the Museum Tuesday, June 30th at 1pm.
